Shoulder Pain

Shoulder pain can make everyday activities such as lifting, reaching, or carrying objects difficult.

Our multidisciplinary team treats common causes of shoulder pain, including rotator cuff injuries, frozen shoulder, dislocations, arthritis, tendonitis, and bursitis. Using a combination of physiotherapy, injection therapy, rehabilitation programmes, and biomechanical support, we create tailored treatment plans that address both symptoms and underlying causes.

Frozen Shoulder ( Adhesive Capsulitis)

What is it?

Frozen shoulder, or adhesive capsulitis, is a condition where the shoulder joint becomes stiff, painful, and loses its full range of motion. It develops gradually and can significantly limit day-to-day activities.

Causes

The exact cause isn’t always clear, but it often follows shoulder injury, surgery, or prolonged immobility. It’s more common in people aged 40–60 and those with diabetes or thyroid conditions

Symptoms
  • Gradual onset shoulder pain
  • Increasing stiffness
  • Difficulty with reaching overhead or behind the back
  • Pain that can worsen at night
How we can help?

Early assessment and targeted intervention can make a big difference in recovery. If you’re experiencing these symptoms, we’re here to help.

Subacromial Pain Syndrome/ Impingement/ Rotator Cuff Pathology

What is it?

Subacromial impingement and rotator cuff pathology refer to irritation, inflammation, or damage to the tendons and soft tissues in the shoulder—especially the rotator cuff tendons—where they pass through a narrow space beneath the shoulder blade.

Causes

These issues often arise from repetitive overhead activities, poor posture, muscle imbalances, or age-related wear and tear. It’s common in athletes, manual workers, and anyone with long-standing shoulder strain.

Symptoms
  • Shoulder pain when lifting the arm
  • Pain at night or when laying on the effected side
  • Weakness or limited range of motion
  • Clicking or catching sensation of the shoulder
How we can help?

Early intervention can reduce pain, restore movement, and prevent further injury. If your shoulder pain is affecting your daily life, we’re ready to support your recovery

Acromio-Clavicular Pain

What is it?

AC joint pain originates from the small joint at the top of the shoulder where the collarbone (clavicle) meets the shoulder blade (acromion). It’s a common source of localized shoulder pain.

Causes

Pain can result from acute injury (such as a fall or direct blow), repetitive overhead movements, or wear and tear over time—often seen in weightlifters, manual workers, or after trauma

Symptoms
  • Pain at the top of the shoulder
  • Discomfort when reaching across the body or lifting over head
  • Local tenderness or swelling over the joint
  • Clicking or grinding with movement
How we can help?

With accurate diagnosis and tailored intervention, most AC joint issues respond well to conservative treatment. If shoulder pain is limiting your movement or comfort, we’re here to help you get back on track

Shoulder OA

What is it?

Glenohumeral osteoarthritis is a degenerative condition affecting the main shoulder joint, where the head of the upper arm bone meets the shoulder socket. Over time, the protective cartilage wears down, leading to joint pain and stiffness.

Causes

It typically develops from age-related wear and tear but can also follow injury, surgery, or repetitive strain. It’s more common in people over 50 and those with a history of heavy shoulder use.

Symptoms
  • Deep aching shoulder pain
  • Stiffness and reduced range of motion
  • Pain with activity such as lifting or reaching
  • Grinding or clicking in the joint
How we can help?

While arthritis can’t be reversed, our clinic can help manage symptoms, maintain mobility, and improve shoulder strength. If you’re living with shoulder stiffness or discomfort, we can support you with effective, tailored care.
